What is the PTG?
The Piano
Technicians Guild of
America is the major
organization in the
United States that
supports, nurtures
and provides the
ongoing education,
qualification
standards and
ongoing education
and improvement of
piano technical
professionals. There
are numerous
Chapters of Guild
members throughout
the US. There are
four chapters in
Colorado. The
Boulder, Denver,
Colorado Springs,
Mountain West
Chapters.
One of the most
valuable things
about being a member
of the Piano
Technicians Guild is
the access that
newer and less
experienced members
have to experienced
members. This access
takes the form of
conventions that are
regularly hosted by
regional chapters
and a national
convention that
takes place yearly.
In April 2006, a
regional PTG
convention
took place in
Broomfield, CO at
the Omni Hotel. to
get a taste of what
happens at a
convention.
